Sketchbook 49, June 2007 - November 2007

Busy busy busy time. I got hired by Jason Kendall (of the Amazing Crowns) at Harmonix to create 20 illustrations for the first edition of Rock Band. These were my roughs:



























Tak Toyoshima @ the Weekly Dig hired me to make a cover for their "Good Bostonians" issue. At first he asked for 2 people with the text going across their t-shirts, but I sold him on a parade float pulled by Boston Terriers ( my own Frankensteiny, Mr. Giles, and Frank's buddy Moka):

Baron Shivers of So-Cal's infamous surf monsters, the Ghastly Ones, got in contact about putting on a show with Black Cat Burlesque for the Ghastly's first ever East Coast tour. Poster ideas:

I got hired to paint a wedding reception----I shot a couple hundred photos and did sketches right there, then did comps and the actual painting at home afterwards:
